Where in the world does honesty still hold it’s value? This morning I was on my way to work and as usual I stopped at the little café at the train station to recharge my smartrider card. I had no cash on me so I was stuck using my bank card but usually this is no problem. However this morning the guy’s EFTPOS machine went crazy and he couldn’t do the transaction. The guy just gave me my card back and said that I can pay him on my way back the afternoon. How great is that!!!
It’s great to be part of the Australian culture and to be trusted in such a way. Might be very small but it did something great for me.
